LG G7 ThinQ Gets Certified in Its Home Country, South Korea

A week ago, we discovered an EEC certification for the LG G7 and Q7. Meanwhile, the LG G7 ThinQ is also certified in Korea by the National Radio Research Agency. It concerns two model names, the LG LM-G710V and the LM-G710N. The former LG G7 ThinQ LM-G710V corresponds to the model number that has also been approved by the Russian authorities. The ‘N’ variant is probably only for the home country, Korea.

Introduction LG G7 ThinQ phone

It is now no longer a secret after LG G7 ThinQ certification that it will be introduced in more than a week. As LG Electronics often does with its flagship telephones, a pre-announcement has been made this year. This not only revealed the name; LG G7 ThinQ, but also the release date reported. The Korean manufacturer has scheduled a press conference in New York on 2 May 2018 and in Seoul on 3 May.

LG G7 ThinQ smartphone with artificial intelligence

It will be the first LG G-series phone that is provided with artificial intelligence. At the beginning of this year, the ThinQ platform was introduced, and the LG V30s ThinQ was the first smartphone with artificial intelligence. However, the ThinQ technology can not only be found in smartphones. Increasingly, consumers will be provided with electronics and household products with artificial intelligence, making it easier for these devices to communicate with each other.

The LG G7 ThinQ will offer improved connectivity solutions to make the mobile phone easier to connect with other LG devices, such as TVs, but also household appliances such as a refrigerator or smart oven.

Several renders have also shown that the G7 ThinQ has a physical button to call the Google Assistant. In addition, it will be the first smartphone from LG with a notch. This controversial crop on the top of the screen can be turned off by software, just as is the case with the Huawei P20 series launched last month.

In addition to the LG G7 ThinQ, the South Korean manufacturer is still developing two devices that are likely to be introduced almost simultaneously. It is the LG Q7, the little brother of the G7, and the LG V35 ThinQ, as a new top model within the V-series. An LG V40 ThinQ is expected later this year.
