LG G Pad 5 tablet has launched in South Korea, and LG’s website already lists the product for sale. The tablet comes packed with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It runs on the Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 821 SoC which was released in 2016 and features on smartphones such as the OnePlus 3T.
In terms of processor, it is a fairly outdated one. Even the internal storage is not so great in today’s standards. The G Pad 5 features a 10.1-inch FHD display screen and a meager 8MP rear camera. The features may not seem impressive and it may come as a shock to the users but this would not be the first time that LG has released a gadget with little outdated processors and features.
In 2017, LG had released the G6 smartphone with the Snapdragon 821 processor, even though most of gadget manufacturers have moved on to using Snapdragon 835. The LG G Pad 5 does have a MicroSD slot to house a memory card of 500GB or less. However, LG is more than capable of including slots that read one of 1TB in capacity.
The LG pad has an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP selfie camera, a bezel of a moderate width surrounds the display screen. For privacy purposes, the LG Pad features a fingerprint scanner that is mounted on its side. LG G Pad 5 tablet does have an impressive battery, 8200mAh one that comes with the Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0.
LG G Pad 5 features a non-glass chassis, and the tablet weighs only 498 grams. With the kind of features that LG is offering for this particular tablet, it is expected that LG would not price the tablet too high.
LG G Pad 5 10.1 will be available through the OEM’s own South Korean carrier LG U+. Hopefully, soon the sales will begin through the website and LG will put a price on this tablet.
