LG Electronics has announced that they will launch LG Q8, with similar features to that of the V20. The mid-segment phone will come with a 5.2-inch Quad HD display along with water-resistant IP67 certification.
Q8 will carry the LG’s powerful heritage in videography and photography, with features like Steady Record 2.0 for judder-free video recording. Just like most of the top-end devices from LG, Q8 will carry a dual camera setup on the rear capable of capturing sweeping vistas and broad interiors. There is also a wide-angle camera on the front, which will come with a 120-degree wide lens. The back lens will have a 78-degree standard lens and a 135-degree wide-angle lens.
Q8 will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset in its heart with 4GB RAM. It will carry 32 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card. There is also a 3,000mAh battery which should be enough to power it for the whole day.
One of the phone’s unique features will be it’s customizable, always ON the second screen, which will have all the important shortcuts. This can come in handy and also save up on battery. In terms of graphics, there is going to be a Vulkan-compatible graphic engine that will be capable of running even the most powerful games with ease.
As mentioned, the above phone will be IP67 rated, which means that it can be safely immersed in one meter of water for more than 30 minutes. There is a metal frame along with rounded corners which can absorb most of the vibrations and shocks.
