On August 27, 2025, the realme brand celebrated its grand 7th anniversary. It served as a platform for realme to “double down on its promise: to anticipate user needs, break technical boundaries, and deliver devices that empower bold living”. During the event, it showcased two concept devices, i.e., the realme 15000mAh phone and the realme Chill Fan phone.
These two concept phones, as mentioned in the announcement, represent the future of smartphone battery life and thermal management, which is the vision realme envisions for mobile innovation, and serve as a reminder of the company’s mobile technology innovation goals.
Realme 15000mAh: The Endurance Champion
The realme 15000mAh is presented as the concept phone with the world’s largest battery capacity. Despite housing such a massive power source, realme engineered it to be remarkably compact. It features a slightly curved design with dual rear cameras and a “15000mAh” logo prominently displayed on its back. Impressively, it measures only 8.89mm thin, which realme claims makes it 42% smaller and lighter than a typical power bank.
Its most significant selling point is its unprecedented endurance. Official tests suggest that the realme 15000mAh can last for 10 days without needing to be charged, even when traveling 12,929 miles across 7 countries on a single charge during this period. Other sources indicate varied usage times, with claims of up to four days of average usage, or up to 5.18 days with regular use. For specific media consumption, it’s touted to offer 18 hours of continuous video recording and between 50 and 53 hours of video playback on a single charge.
The colossal battery incorporates advanced technology, being the world’s first to utilize 100% Silicone material, which provides an energy reserve of 1200Wh/L. Currently, the realme 15000mAh remains a concept device, with no specific launch date announced for its commercial release.
Realme Chill Fan Phone: Built-in Cooling
Alongside the battery powerhouse, realme introduced the realme Chill Fan Phone, distinguished as the world’s first concept phone with a self-contained “air conditioning” (cooling) function.
This “black technology” integrates a 7700mm2 VC cooling plate and employs advanced TEC refrigerator cooling technology, which includes an internal miniature fan paired with a thermoelectric cooler. This sophisticated system is capable of achieving a maximum cooling effect, reducing the device’s core temperature by up to 6°C. Gizmochina noted a small vent on the side frame capable of blowing air.
In addition to its self-managed internal cooling, the Chill Phone features a temperature-responsive dynamic back cover. The phone’s back colour shifts from white to light blue as the system temperature exceeds 45°C and becomes entirely blue at temperatures below 38°C.
Such a visual representation of heat change offers a novel and potentially useful indicator of overheating. Similar to its battery-centric sibling, the realme Chill Fan Phone is also a concept device, and no details have been shared about its retail availability.
Sale Not Clarified
The announcement of the two phones being concept devices and not available for purchase was somewhat clear. However, realme did not firmly state that these devices would be available for sale. These innovative features are expected to be integrated into future smartphones, offering users advanced capabilities. However, on their own, they may not justify purchasing a completely new device at this time. Instead, they showcase realme’s vision for upcoming technologies in battery endurance and thermal management.
