MediaTek released its latest intelligent IoT i700 platform chip at the MediaTek AI Partner Conference held on July 10, in honor of the conference theme of “AI Life Creates the Future”.
The MediaTek i700 platform, which has been described as a Bach architecture, boasts of delivering strong performance as it includes two 2.2GHz ARM Cortex-A75 processors, six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 processors, and a 970MHz IMG 9XM-HP8 graphics processor.
The built-in CorePilot technology in the platform can ascertain simultaneous efficient computing and low power consumption, which can be advantageous when the platform gets incorporated within processing units like CPU, GPU, and ISP.
The MediaTek i700 platform also comes with a built-in dual AI engine and an AI accelerator which boosts AI performance up to 5 times as that found in the previous generations. It comes with support for smart homes, smart cities and smart factories.
It also comes with a built-in mobile network baseband supporting up to Cat.12, and with support for 2×2 802.11ac Wi-Fi and low-power Bluetooth 5.0 technology on the network connection.
The i700 platform will reportedly begin to supply from the next year.
