The Taiwanese chip manufacturer MediaTek is setting off a new odyssey with a new mobile chipset. The new chipset has a new quest to hunt down a massive sector. The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 shoot a candied speck between the mid-range and premium segments, which resembles the new Chipset dangling in between the two fields. Some sounds of “Premium B” revolve around the industry on take of MediaTek Dimensity 8200.
The Dimensity 8200 becomes the successor of the Dimensity 9200 debuted last month. Its voices still reflect the sounds of Dimensity 8000 and 8100 dual releases from way back in March. It is much better to call the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 a powerful rocket toting a heavy task on its shoulders.
Let’s talk about the specifications of MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Processor
- CPU- 1x 3.1 GHz Arm Cortex A78 @ three × 3.0 GHz cortex A78 @4 × 2.0 GHz cortex A55
- Node- 4nm TSMC process
- GPU- Mali-G610 MC6
- Memory- LPDDR5 Ram
- Display- MiraVision 785 (180Hz @ 1080p+, 120Hz @ 1440p, 4K60 video capture, 4K AV1 decode)
- Camera- Imagiq 785 (320MP single camera)
- Connectivity- Wi-Fi 6E Bluetooth 5.3, 3GPP R16 Modem (3CA 200MHz, sub-6GHz 5G)
While quietly luring out the details we have gathered, it significantly reminds the Dimensity 8200’s transition from TSMC 5nm downturn to 4nm, which carries off a plethora of sturdy performance. The sketch hasn’t been revamped that much from the 8000 or 8100 with the same Cortex A78 and A55 designs from Arm in place.
The company is still recovering the old pieces from assembling. The previous eight cores are now segregated into three different clusters. A single A78 sprinted at 3.1GHz with three others balancing on the parallel realm at 3GHz, followed by the A55s at 2GHz.
“The MediaTek Dimensity 8200 will enhance the gaming experience on premium 5G smartphones and will deliver smoother gameplay with higher framerates, impressive graphics, and seamless connectivity,” said CH Chen, Deputy General Manager of MediaTek’s Wireless Communications Business Unit
Dimensity 8200 will be equipped with 5G devices launching in the global market beginning in December 2022. Xiaomi’s Redmi K60 series is officially confirmed to be powered with MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Processor. The Redmi will include three models in the lineup, the Redmi K60, K60 Pro, and K60E.
