The Chinese company, Meizu had previously proclaimed that for its upcoming Meizu 18, the company will forego the included charger. This would not be the first time that a smartphone will be shipped without the charger; previously Apple had done that. However, at the Meizu 18 series dual flagship conference, it was made clear that Meizu 18 Pro will come with a vertical wireless charger.
The charger has high-power charging performance, and that the charger will support both wired and wireless 40W charging capacity while at the same time supporting 10W wireless reverse charging. At the launch conference, the company further announced that the Meizu 18 series wireless charger will be priced at 199 yuan.
Meizu 18 Pro is equipped with Snapdragon 888 chip, full blood LPDDR5, UFS3.1, WiFi 6E, supports Meizu Pay. Moreover, the smartphone comes with a built-in 4500 mAh battery and supports PD, QC4 + protocol, VC liquid cooling, OneMind 5.0.
In addition, the smartphone will come with a 6.7-inches display that will provide 3200 x 1400 resolution. The smartphone will feature the Samsung E4 AMOLED hyperboloid screen that offers a refresh rate of 120Hz and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Under the hood, the smartphone is equipped with Qualcomm’s latest ultrasonic fingerprint technology along with the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Sensor.
As for the camera, the Meizu 18 is equipped with a Samsung GN1 sensor (50 megapixels main camera) and a 32-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, an 8-megapixel telephoto, supporting 3x optical zoom, 30x digital zoom and OIS+EIS hybrid anti-shake. The front selfie camera is 44MP.
In other respects, the Meizu 18 Pro weighs only 189g and is only 8.1 mm thick. It supports IP68 dustproof and waterproof performance. Although the major specs have been revealed the company is yet to unveil the price of the smartphone.
