The expansion of social networking sites has its own pros and cons. Parents wanted their children to have an app that was comparatively safer and more useful at the same time. To fix this concern, Facebook launched Messenger Kids in the US. The company is extending this app to Canada and Peru upon becoming popular.
The app will now be available in French and Spanish versions. The Messenger is specially equipped with features that will help kids understand and express emotions creatively. Further, it will also be inclusive of features that will promote and encourage social behaviors and deepen the positive connection between kids and their close ones.
1. Messenger Kids Pledge: This pledge describes the principles between parents and their kids which encourage the responsible use of Messenger Kids: Be Kind, Be Respectful, Be Safe, and Have Fun.
2. Kindness Stickers: Another way to let the kids enhance their emotional capabilities. Kindness stickers will say it all with the new set of stickers that are specially designed to inspire kindness towards others.
3. Appreciation Level: This feature will be soon added to the list which will take care that the kids will discover and express appreciation for their family and friends. This feature will be part of the “Mission” section of the app where the kids will learn how to use certain app features like starting a video call and sending a photo.
The company officials stated that they are still working on certain features like parental control and other settings which will make the app more secure and useful. The Messenger kids update finally will be available on the Google Play Store and App Store in Canada and Peru.
