Recently, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a groundbreaking technology, revolutionizing various aspects of our lives and reshaping the world. From enhancing productivity and efficiency to enabling breakthroughs in healthcare and driving economic growth, AI’s transformative power is evident across multiple domains.
As one of the leading firms prioritizing this groundbreaking technology, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, Meta has now explained how it will be using generative AI to build smart assistants, content creation tools, and media editing features at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Earlier this week, the company’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg announced several AI technologies in various stages of development, including AI chatbots for Messenger and WhatsApp, AI stickers, and other tools that would allow photo editing in Instagram Stories, in addition to internal-only products powered by Meta’s large language model LLaMA. Now, let’s take a look at the three new generative ai tools coming to Meta’s platforms
AI Assistants
Although initially primarily focused on consumer experiences, Meta recognizes the enormous potential that AI Assistants hold for organizations. It now focuses on reflecting AI work by connection and expression with the new AI Assistant.
With this feature, Meta’s users will now interact with different AIs to have a diverse array of AI Assistants to represent people, creators, and businesses interests. For example, a person could get customer support from their favorite small business without having to wait on the phone.
AI Stickers
As we all know billions of stickers are sent on various Meta platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp daily. Now, the platform has introduced AI-generated stickers, allowing users to have infinitely more options for creativity and self-expression that can help represent how they are feeling at a given moment.
Not only that, it also comes with features that enable businesses to create customer stickers, tied to moments in time or a marketing campaign, which will allow for a new creative medium to engage and delight their customers.
AI Media Editing
For decades now, image generation models are improving the way people are interacting with visual content. Meta utilizes this to completely revolutionize users’ interaction with AI. For businesses, this may mean giving an existing marketing creative a seasonal spin without having to reshoot everything from the beginning.
In the future, Meta hopes to explore this with video as well. Given the fact that people re-share billions of videos on their platform every day, and once it’s ready, AI-generated videos are going to forever change how creators, businesses, and even users interact with video creation.
