Micromax is an Indian Smartphone manufacturer and consumer electronics company. Starting as an IT software company, Microsoft later became one of the largest domestic companies making handsets in the low-cost feature phone segment in India. It eventually became the tenth-largest smartphone vendor in the world in 2014.
However, in recent years, the rapid increase in the Chinese mobile market had given a tough competition to the company. But, it could not break down its spirit. Micromax is going to make a huge comeback to the Indian smartphone market by the end of November 2020 with its all-new ‘IN’ lineup.
Rahul Sharma, the co-founder of Micromax informed the world about its return to the Indian smartphone market via his Twitter account. Micromax will be focusing on PM Narendra Modi’s call ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat‘ for its comeback. Sharing his life story and the story behind the foundation of Micromax, Rahul Sharma depicted how they were impulsed by the recent incidents. So, Micromax is all charged up again to come back along with the immense support from the citizens of India.
The upcoming lineup from Micromax is named ‘IN’ where IN Stands for India. Aiming as a Made in India device, Microsoft will surely be targeting the Indian market to recover its previous shares. In a recent interview with Technical Guruji, Rahul Sharma said that they aim to offer “Maximum feature in minimum price”; however, they will not compromise with the quality and performance of the smartphones because of this.
What to expect?
The interview also revealed many upcoming features of the new ‘IN’ lineup, which are enough to pump up our expectations. Let’s take a look:
- The smartphones will be launched in multiple price segments, preferably from INR 7,000 to INR 15,000 and above.
- Microsoft will be aiming for performance-oriented smartphones.
- The devices will be close stock Android which means they will be ad-free and without bloatware and looking at the price range, these kind of devices will be worthy for sure.
- Smartphones will be suitable for gaming and will be powered by MediaTek chipsets.
Other than these, Microsoft has not yet made any official announcement regarding the other features of the upcoming lineup. The expected launch time is by the end of November 2020. We hope by then we will get other hints about the ‘IN’ lineup.
