A month ago the existence of Forza Street was leaked with a mention to the developer Electric Square. Microsoft has made the game official: Miami Street becomes Forza Street and is now available for free on PC – it will soon arrive on iOS and Android.
“Sign up for the ultimate street races to win the collection of your dream cars, choose an event, prepare your fleet and run in the name of infamy,” says the official description. “Get legendary cars in the races: from classics to modern sports and retro supercars.”
“The fantastic racing controls will help you use the accelerator, the brake, and the turbo at the right moment while the cameras closely monitor the adrenaline rush, run anytime and anywhere: you can participate in a fast one minute race or immerse yourself in an infinite story with several paths to victory.”
Forza Street has different game modes, from fast one-minute races to “an infinite story with several roads to victory”.
In one of the screenshots of the game, it has been seen with different currencies, which anticipates different types of micropayments. It shows a premium currency, another currency that is predictably achieved by playing the title, and energy necessary to do certain things. Next, to these coins, there is an icon to access the store.
The existence of Forza Street was filtered by Turn 10 and Playground Games, the developers of Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon respectively. “Developed in collaboration with the British studio Electronic Square, Forza Street has been developed since its inception to work on a wide range of Windows 10, iOS and Android devices,” they explained.
The version for iPhone, iPad and Android devices has not been published at the time of writing this news. No mobile version is mentioned in the Microsoft Store tab.
Actually, Forza Street is not a totally new game, but a change of brand of Miami Street, a game launched by Electronic Square in 2018 that was launched on Windows 10 computers with the aim of achieving “a broad audience that wants easy experiences to catch and play”.
