Microsoft is rolling out an out-of-band update to several versions of Windows 10 and Windows 11 to identify a few issues that sprouted shortly afterward, installing the new patches released to welcome the year 2022. The Windows Server updates were causing severe problems for the system.
Microsoft posted this unscheduled update on its official website. Microsoft hasn’t gotten to grips with serious bug issues since it’s developed a strong firewall; this issue is also seemingly considered a minor bug-fixing problem.
According to the developers, the newly cultivated update would fix the problems connected with VPN networks users reported earlier that they couldn’t be able to access VPN after installing the new update, restarting Windows Server domain controllers, failures to start virtual machines, the inability to mount removable media with the ReFS file system, and many more issues reported by a considerable amount of people are mentioned above.
Users who are grappling with problems can find a solution in the Microsoft Download Center. Some of the OOB updates can also be installed on your device through Windows Update.
Unlike previous updates, the unscheduled emergency bug fixing update can be only installed through manual checking, meaning if you want to get an update on your device, you have to get it manually from the windows update, given the fact that they are optional updates and might not be greeted by your machine automatically.
Reminsnce the first-ever Windows Update of 2022 for Windows 10, 11, the Edge browser, and the Office suite, Microsoft rolled out on January 12, 2021. The company announced that the new update identified 96 bug issues and fixed them in operating systems.
