Today, the American multinational corporation, Microsoft, has officially announced that it would provide Indian users with a HoloLens 2 MR device equipped with a Snapdragon 850 chip and battery life of 2 to 3 hours.
According to mspoweruse, Microsoft has stated that it will distribute HoloLens 2 devices to Indian consumers in order to broaden the availability of its mixed reality helmets. In India, authorized dealers can now purchase mixed reality helmets.
The Microsoft HoloLens 2 development version is still only available in the United States, China, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Other versions, such as HoloLens 2 Industrial Edition, HoloLens 2, and remote assistance, are available for purchase by Indian businesses.
Microsoft stated a few months ago that it will provide the gadget to corporations in South Africa and Mexico. Microsoft expects that by bringing it to India, Indian enterprises will be able to fully exploit the potential of its mixed reality helmets.
The HoloLens 2 is said to run on the Snapdragon 850 computing architecture and has a battery life of 2-3 hours. Hand tracking, eye tracking, voice commands, spatial mapping, mixed reality capture, and 6DoF tracking are all included in this mixed reality helmet.
To obtain the equipment, Indian companies could contact Softline – Alliance Partner of Insight, Team Computers, or Redington, who are approved distributors.
HoloLens 2 mixed reality gadget, carrying bag, head strap, microfiber cloth, charger, and USB-C cable are all included in the box. The HoloLens 2 development version costs 27,388 yuan, while the HoloLens 2 industrial version costs 38,788 yuan.
