The official version of Microsoft Launcher 4.8 for Android has been released today, April 25, 2018. Its full version number is 4.8.0.41990.
This main update will include a series of functions that have been tested out by Beta users till the release. These will now be available to all users. For the users who have already participated in the beta testing, the update log may appear to be familiar. This will happen because of the inclusions of the improvements released in the several beta versions prior to the release of the present version of Microsoft Launcher 4.8.
As of accessibility, it will be available through the Microsoft official stores, which are country-specific throughout the world, as well as the Google Play Store.
This Microsoft Launcher version 4.8 will provide application sequencing support for new languages such as Korean, Japanese, and Russian. This feature is available in the application drawer and is complementary to existing official languages such as English.
The new Launcher will provide the users of the Microsoft Assistant Cortana with improvements, such as the inclusion of a new encyclopedia, a better application startup experience, and support for the settings of a larger number of devices, such as Wi-Fi and flight mode. This update to Cortana also supports the Navigation queries.
There are also other bug fixes and performance adjustments. This new version should run much smoother and faster than the previous versions.
Microsoft Launcher is one of the top Microsoft applications in the Android ecosystem. It currently has more than 10 million downloads. It is also one of the highest-scoring Android apps, scoring 4.6 points with a total score of up to 5 points in the Google Play Store.
