Microsoft is partnering with Samsung to deliver an Xbox app to smart TVs, arriving on June 30th, eliminating the need for a separate system to play Xbox Cloud Gaming games. Xbox is actively working with the rest of Microsoft to bring customers fantastic gaming experiences. Consumers will be able to play new Xbox Game Studios titles on the first day of their release and experience the renowned Bethesda Softworks and other properties.

Furthermore, Xbox will be providing our fans a sneak peek at a remarkable line-up of titles released to Xbox, PC, and cloud this weekend at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Amongst the most significant revelations is that Microsoft will introduce a new service that would ostensibly compete with PlayStation Plus limited-time game demos, which were revealed later this year.

Xbox app for smart TVs

Xbox is going to make hundreds of titles in our Game Pass Ultimate collection, as well as Fortnite, available without membership through the Xbox app.

Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer stated, “We’re developing a platform that can reach billions of players whether it’s on console, whether it’s on PC, whether it’s through Xbox cloud streaming where gamers on any device they want to play on should be able to locate the content they want to play.”

Playing Xbox games on Samsung’s 2022 Smart TVs will be a frictionless interaction, comparable to utilizing any other streaming platform on the TV. It is expected to be arriving on June 30, go into your current Microsoft account and link your favorite Bluetooth controller to the Xbox software via the Samsung Gaming Hub or Media Hub. Anyone can play a variety of amazing cloud-enabled games if you have a Game Pass Ultimate membership, or you can play Fortnite without one.

More information regarding the new Xbox app will be revealed during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday, June 12.
