Yesterday on the Windows Blog website, Panos Panay revealed in his post that the company is standing behind Microsoft Surface. Panos is the corporate VP of Microsoft Devices. He has earned recognition as the Father of the Surface brand.
In his post, he expressed that the company is proud of its Surface line of devices, despite the ‘disappointing’ Customer Reports survey. To quote him, “while we respect Consumer Reports, we disagree with their findings”.
Since its introduction in October 2012, Microsoft Surface has had quite a positive run in the markets. Though it has not been a smooth ride, Surface still ranks high regarding customer satisfaction.
Numbers speak for Microsoft Surface
There were 1-2-year failures in the middle, but it was predictable by the company. Also, the return rates for Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 have been notably lower than 25%. The company has always been on the toe to develop successive versions of the Microsoft Surface.
About 98% of Surface Book users and Surface Pro 4 users expressed satisfaction, as revealed in a study. It was a study conducted by Ipsos, the market research company. The study was commissioned by Microsoft.
On the other hand, the IPU (incidents per unit) for Microsoft Surface has a present record of below 1%. It has gradually improved from generation to generation of the Surface series. Last but not least, the Surface Laptop and Surface Pro are still receiving positive reviews.
In the blog of Panos, the dedication of Microsoft towards constant development for providing the best experience to the consumers was clear. In fact, the company is working on further innovations and improvements in commitment to customer satisfaction.
