Microsoft launched an extensive Surface Hub for the customers in Hong Kong. The company had a view that the customers in Hong Kong would be the first ones to get their hands on this office collaboration tool. Along with Surface Hub, Microsoft is also launching Microsoft 365, which is a subscription bundle of Windows & Office in Hong Kong.
Speaking on the launch, chairman and CEO of Microsoft Greater China Region, Alain Crozier, said:
“Surface Hub as transformative to group productivity as the PC was for individuals. More than 50% of Fortune 100 companies now use Surface Hub to capture new ideas and improve collaboration and productivity. In Hong Kong, companies including conglomerates, utility companies, and international tech consultancy firms are early adopters of the Surface Hub.”
The surface Hub combines digital whiteboard and conferencing features into a massive display; this device is made available both in 55 & 84-inch models. Surprisingly, even though it possesses a large price tag, it is still said to have exceeded its expectation in December 2016. Microsoft further stated through its sources that they shipped Surface Hub to more than 2000 customers in 24 markets, with the average deal landing at 50 units.
