Over the last year, the American multinational technology company, Microsoft, has been making improvements to its OneDrive to ensure that users have accessible tools in their day-to-day working activities.

Yesterday,  December 1st, the American tech giant released a new update for photo editing features. The photo editing features are now live in OneDrive for Business on both Android and the web. This new feature will allow all users to work on their photos in OneDrive without having to open another app.

Recall that in June this year, the American company introduced the same photo editing experience in personal accounts.

Users may crop their photos using built-in presets and modify brightness, contrast, exposure, shadows, highlights, saturation, color, and warmth in the images with the new editing tools. On the other hand, the photo editing features only work with JPEG or PNG files.

To use these new photo editing features on the web, go to the upper left corner of the app and select the dedicated “Edit” icon. The image can then be cropped to conventional sizes, and the color and light settings of the photo can be changed by clicking the “Adjustments” button. When you open an image in OneDrive for Android on your phone, the Edit icon will show at the bottom of the app.

Since last year, the American tech giant has planned to extend these picture editing features to iOS. However, for the time being, OneDrive on the web only allows users to crop photographs and alter lighting and color. Still, photo filters are anticipated to be added later this month.

Filters offer a variety of good filters that allow you to add artificial effects to your photographs. If you alter a photo, you can choose to save it as a new file or replace the original. You can also go to a version history to recover a file if you accidentally select the wrong choice.

According to Microsoft, the option to comment and markup photos will be coming to OneDrive for the web soon. The firm hasn’t said whether or not the new feature set will be carried out in stages, so it should be available worldwide right now.
