Microsoft has updated Windows App development center Analytics. The Windows Apps Team has been working on the feature development based on the feedback received from developer forums and Dev center channels. This feedback is further taken for some updates to the developers in terms related to analytics. Here are the latest improvements added to the analytics platform.
Usage report updates
The new updates come with better Usage that will be available to every user in-app publishing store. The report will help developers to understand how their app is being used by their customers. Users using Windows 10 can access the data, though Microsoft has not announced any plan for other windows version users.
These categories also provide info about user sessions and active users and get the data summary by market and packet versions. The latest update will also help developers get information on custom events they instruct in their app using the Microsoft Store Engagement and Monetization SDK.
Life-to-date reporting
Lifetime acquisition data is one of the long-standing demands among users. The latest updates come with Acquisition reports with acquisition data, showing developers the cumulative total acquisitions for their app. These feature updates will be firstly available to the participants in the Dev Center Insider Program. So if you want to see first the improvements in Windows App Development Center Analytics, download Visual Studio to get started.
The company is also working on some additional analytics features to be available in the coming months.
