Microsoft’s very own Surface Duo smartphone has reportedly started receiving the September 2021 update. The update, which takes up the build numbers 2021.817.37(Europe), and 2021.817.35 (North America), comes with no new features as would naturally be expected of a typical monthly security update.
According to the reports, the update has a 76.18 MB size and contains the Android security update for September 2021. The official changelog is as follows;

- 2021.817.37 (Europe)
Speaking about the update, Microsoft has claimed that this update will address all the possible circumstances that were mentioned in the Android Security Bulletin of 2021.
Microsoft’s announcement is noteworthy that the Surface Duo would not be getting the Android 11 update, at least not yet. The firm did not even make any remarks or comments to indicate that Android 11 will ever be made available for the Surface Duo smartphone.
Surface Duo users have also been advised that they can choose to wait out for the update and allow it to be pushed to them, or they can download it themselves in few little steps on their smartphones. This can be done simply by navigating to the settings app on their phones and checking for updates in the system update section where they’ll find the update.
