Capcom has officially announced that Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak sales have surpassed 5 million units globally on PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the studio reported that Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, the franchise’s other expansion, had sold more than 10 million copies.
The announcement was made by Capcom, which thanked fans of the game for their support on the Monster Hunter Twitter account. An in-game item pack will be released soon as a way to celebrate this remarkable success and new artwork has been shared in recognition of it.
Following its launch on Xbox and PS5, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak’s sales numbers will surge
Sunbreak has achieved some very excellent results since its debut in June of last year. It sold 2 million units in the first week after going on sale, and it now has already surpassed the 5 million unit milestone. Given that it is not yet available on the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak sales are noteworthy.
Capcom previously did not anticipate achieving certain milestones in such a short period. However, the company has found that the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak sales numbers have mostly been beyond its expectations. The success of the expansion was attributed primarily to post-launch updates, according to Capcom’s most recent financial report, since the frequent updates with free content are what kept players interested.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is a really vast update that significantly enhances an already fantastic game in all conceivable ways. Furthermore, Capcom has confirmed that the expansion will continue to get free content throughout this year, with the next Title Update arriving in February.
With 88 million copies overall sales for the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter World is the studio’s best-selling title after selling 21 million copies. Launches on additional platforms will continue to boost the sales numbers, and on January 20, Rise and Sunbreak will now be available on the Xbox and PlayStation platforms.
