Motorola will bring to India its new budget device, Moto G05, on January 7, 2025. It would be up for sale on Flipkart as an exclusive platform. The Moto G05 has every aspect in which a user desires to enjoy their budget smartphones- it brings forward a high-grade experience for buyers with its massive 6.67-inch screen that could eventually support 90Hz of smooth and silky visuals on the display, which goes up to 1,000 nits of peak brightness. Thus, these images remain ever so visible. It comes even protected by Gorilla Glass 3 along with water touch technology, in which users can get easy interactions through the screen while their hands may be wet too.
In terms of design, the smartphone has a vegan leather back panel with Green and Red colors curated by PANTONE. It is slim at 8.10 mm and weighs 178.8 grams, so it’s comfortable to hold. The device also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for quick and secure access. With an IP52 rating, the Moto G05 offers resistance against dust and water splashes, adding to its durability.
There’s also a 50MP main rear camera using quad-pixel technology to further sharpen the produced images. The camera package consists of Portrait mode and Auto Night Vision, enhancing low-light photography. Selfie features come with an 8MP front-facing camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.
Under the hood, it has MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme that promises efficient performance with daily tasks and moderate gaming. The Moto G05 comes with 4GB of RAM that can be virtually increased up to 12GB by using the technology of RAM Boost, along with 64GB of internal storage for applications and media.
The device is accompanied by a huge 5,200mAh battery. Motorola states that it should deliver up to 39 hours of talk time, 70 hours of music playback, and 19 hours of video playback on a single charge. It supports 18W fast charging. This implies that users can charge the device quite quickly and use it.
Audio quality has also been improved through dual Dolby Atmos stereo speakers that really do give an immersive audio experience, even with powerful bass, thereby being suited for consumption of media or games.
Moto G05 will come out of the box running Android 15, which would make it one of the very first phones in this segment to offer the newest Android experience. Motorola also assured two years of security updates, so the device will remain secure even after a few years have passed.
