As we are awaiting the official launch of the Motorola Moto G83 in the Indian market next month, in September, the popular mobile leaker Mukul Sharma has revealed that the brand has also confirmed to launch the Moto G84 5G globally first in India in September.
The tipster disclosed this in one of his latest tweets while revealing some key specs of the smartphone.
Mukul Sharma claims that the Moto G84 5G will make its debut in India in September before entering any other markets. In addition to revealing a purported render of the phone, Mukul also revealed the storage and display specifications. According to him, the Moto G84 5G, will have a 10-bit, 120Hz OLED display, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage that should be extendable.
Meanwhile, Evan Blass has previously leaked an image of the device following its appearance on the FCC database. The Moto G84 5G comes with XT2347-2 as the model number on the FCC website. With these various leaks, the Moto G84 5G will effectively replace both the Moto G82 and the Moto G73, which were released in May 2022 and January 2023, respectively, due to Motorola’s decision not to release a Moto G83.
Despite being one rung higher in Motorola’s Moto G product stack than the Moto G73, the Moto G84 5G looks eerily similar to the Moto G73. There are some indications that Motorola may position the Moto G84 5G as a more expensive smartphone than the Moto G73. The Moto G84 5G also seems to have a metal frame and possibilities for vegan leather backs.
In contrast, Motorola gave the Moto G73 a plastic rear panel and frame, apparently to save money. The 50 MP primary camera of the Moto G84 5G has optical stabilization, something the Moto G73 does not. Although a release date is still pending, the presence of official renders suggests that Motorola will soon release the smartphone. Thus, stay connected with TechGenyz.
