Moto X4 was launched at the IFA 2017 in September, and it was released in India on October 3. About a week ago, we received the update that the country will finally receive the phone on the coming November 13. While we eagerly wait for that day, we have 3 weeks in between to discuss the rumors and leaks.
As far as leaks are concerned, we received info on the latest photo of the Moto X4 retail box. The leaked photo clearly shows the price in India – Rs. 23,999. Other details confirmed from the leak suggest that there would be another variant of the phone than the 4GB+64GB.
Motorola has already begun sending out invites for its launch event. The company postponed this launch for unknown reasons. X4 is supposed to take care of the space between Moto Z and Moto G line-ups, and it is more likely a Moto G5 Plus. The enhancements are – more powerful performance, a better front camera, a dual-lens camera, and a more stunning overall appearance.
Moto X4 showcases a display of 5.2-inch FHD with 1920×1080 pixels. The LCD panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The processor is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, with a GPU of Adreno 508. RAM is 4GB, with internally supporting 64GB. Additionally, the phone is IP68 certified, making it dust- and water-resistant (1.5 meters and 30 minutes underwater).
The camera department is perhaps the most highlighting one – it packs a dual setup of 12mp and 8mp rear sensors, with apertures f/2.0 and f/2.2, respectively. The front camera of the X4 packs 16 megapixels.
Running on Android Nougat 7.1, the phone bears Moto’s signature display and Moto Actions. Last but not least, Moto X4 supports fast charging and packs a 3,000 mAh battery.
As for another variant, there might be a 3GB+32GB model of the phone as well, but no other details regarding similarities or differences are revealed yet, not even the price.
