A selected group of journalists at the ongoing Mobile World Congress got the opportunity to talk with Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing (who presently owns the Motorola brand), who dropped hints of a Motorola Razr revival with innovative technology and design.
Last year, he told CNBC that the retro smartphone would return, and nothing hasn’t been out since then. That doesn’t mean that there is no possibility of a new Motorola Razr phone, as suggested by him this time.
Hopefully what you just described [the Motorola Razr brand] will be developed or realized very soon. – Yang Yuanqing’s, CEO at Lenovo
Reporters followed up to confirm on particulars, and he replied that he “already answered the question.”
As per the hint, it could be an updated variant of the memorable Razr or an entirely new handset with a foldable display. Well, it can even be possible that Motorola fans may actually get both. Likely, it sounds like an entirely new smartphone lineup with flexible display technology under the Razr branding.
