Over the years, mobile lovers have been anticipating a carbon fiber Lenovo ThinkPad design in smartphones. Now, the well-known faux-carbon-fiber design of Lenovo’s laptops appears to be making its way to a Motorola phone.
A ThinkPhone by Motorola with the identical carbon-fiber appearance of Lenovo’s ThinkPad notebooks was seen by Android Police in a leaked photograph from The Tech Outlook. Even on the ThinkPhone, which is owned by Lenovo, the classic ThinkPad typeface is used.
Motorola ThinkPhone Specs Revealed
According to the leaked specifications, the ThinkPhone will have an 8GB or 12GB Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 engine inside, as well as up to 512GB of storage.
The most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chip from Qualcomm, which is only now beginning to surface in new smartphones, has found its way into the latest Honor, Oppo, and Xiaomi phones.
Along with a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, the Motorola ThinkPhone is anticipated to come with a 6.6-inch OLED display (1800 x 2400), a triple camera array at the back consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The OLED display is expected to support 144Hz and HDR.
Additionally, the device is also expected to come with a 5000 mAh Lithium Polymer type and support 68W fast charging or 15W wireless charging. Although there appears to be some interaction with Lenovo computers in the hazy marketing photos, it’s unclear exactly which functionalities will be supported.
Motorola ThinkPhone Pricing and Availability
The leak does not refer to pricing, availability, or whether the ThinkPhone would be sold outside of China. However, we anticipate the device to go official at the rate of 296 dollars in pricing.
It seems sensible to anticipate that an official Motorola ThinkPhone announcement might occur soon, given that the Consumer Electronics Show in January and Mobile World Congress in February is only a month and a half away. Thus, stay connected with TechGenyz for more updates.
