Motorola’s new budget phone Moto E5 Plus was unveiled globally in Brazil in April. Now, it has announced that the latest addition to its E-series will be launched in India on July 10.
Moto E5 Plus will sport a 5.9-inch LCD display supporting 1440 x 720 pixels. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 425, clocking at 1.4GHz and coupled with 2GB RAM. There’s only one storage variant, where the internal memory is 16GB which can be expanded up to 256GB.
Some sources say it will be a 6-inch display and pack 3GB RAM and 32GB internal. There could even be a rear camera with a 12 MP lens with f2.0 aperture, LED flash, PDAF, and laser autofocus. As for the front camera, the sensor could be 8 MP or 5 MP with an f2.2 aperture and a selfie light.
The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery, making it heavy at 196 grams. It will run Android 8.0 Oreo and is expected to be available in two color options: Graphite and Gold, as it was launched in Brazil.
Moto E5 Plus is slated to be an Amazon exclusive, with Amazon India teasing users about it presently. The device will be priced within the range of Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 10,000. It will come with a 15W TurboPower charger.
In Europe since its launch, the phone was priced at about EUR 170, which is around Rs. 13,600. Amazon is providing a 10% discount on the original price. A new Moto E5 was launched in India with the price tag of Rs. 12,000.
The brand has shared a 30-second teaser video of the phone that stresses on the large tall screen and the big battery.
That’s all we have regarding specs of Moto E5 Plus for now, and it is evidently not a high-end phone. But memory expansion and the massive battery might attract customers who don’t need much of RAM power.
On an inferring note, it is mentionable that the brand hasn’t talked much about the Moto E5. Stay tuned to get more on this, and further specs on Moto E5 Plus.
