MSI announced that a range of new monitors from the company will debut in the commercial market in 2021. MSI also mentioned that several of the debuting monitors have already received the CES 2021 Innovation Awards, particularly, the Optix MPG321QRF and Optix MPG341QR panels, as well as the Optix MAG163 portable model.
MSI has launched the Optix MAG163 portable gaming monitor already. The gaming monitor features a 15.6-inch touch screen that comes with only 5mm thickness, making the monitor lightweight and portable. The display features a 1920 x 1080 pixels touch IPS panel. Furthermore, the Optix MAG163 portable gaming monitor also comes with a built-in stand. This stand, as per the official announcement, could be adjusted as per the need and convenience of the user. This display is also equipped with built-in speakers, with interfaces such as USB Type-C and Mini-HDMI.
As for the other monitors announced by MSI, the MSI GeForce RTX 30 series notebook will be launched at a conference that is supposed to take place at 20:00 on January 14, 2021. The price of the monitor will be announced at the event.
The Optix MPG321QRF monitor features a 31-inch display that comes with WQHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The gaming monitor features a number of smart features, such as the Adaptive Brightness 2.0 system that can automatically optimize the brightness, and the Night Vision AI technology can help improve the visibility of dark scenes. The Optix MPG341QR features a 34-inch display that is WQHD compliant. The panel comes with a refresh rate of 144Hz, and a 1ms response time. This monitor, just like the Optix MPG321QRF, also comes with the smart features, the Adaptive Brightness 2.0, and the Night Vision feature.
It is not yet clear if the MSI Optix MAG163 too will come with the smart features. Moreover, the pricing and other details of the gaming monitor are yet to be announced.
