CNN apparently seems to be in a jam because yet again they have published what appears to be misinformed news regarding Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s promise of supplying hospitals with ventilators.
CNN reported that Elon Musk failed to deliver on his promise and that the governor’s office said none of the promised ventilators have been received by hospitals in California.
Last month, Musk claimed that he had obtained more than 1,000 ventilators to help COVID-19 treating California hospitals, and the Cali Gov. Gavin Newsom hailed the act as heroic.
However, three weeks after the Governor proclaimed that the ventilators had arrived in California and were on its way to the hospitals, CNN reported that none of the ventilators have been delivered to hospitals.
After the Governor’s announcement, Musk said in a tweet: “China had an oversupply, so we bought 1255 FDA-approved ResMed, Philips & Medtronic ventilators on Friday night & air-shipped them to LA. If you want a free ventilator installed, please let us know!”
But the CNN news reported that not a single hospital in California has actually received a ventilator that came directly from Tesla or Musk.

The whole situation appears to be foggy now, especially since last week Newsom reassured the residents of California that the state has enough ventilators to meet the projected needs. And the state is in such a position so as to lend 500 machines to other states in crisis.

Keeping all of these in mind, several hospitals sent out tweets when they had received what was promised to them. Musk himself responded with a tweet asking the Governor to clear up the misunderstanding. Tesla CEO Elon Musk did not stop there, He took a jab at the news-based TV channel, and tweeted, “What I find most surprising is that CNN still exists” expressing his own disbelief.
