Yes, we know Land Rover builds cars! Land Rover Explore is the smartphone by Bullitt Group, and the carmaker lent its name to the ruggedized device. It will debut at the MWC 2018 and will be announced at the ISPO in Munich starting on February 3.
Bullitt is known for making ‘ruggedized’ smartphones, one like the S60 as its flagship model. Building sturdy hardware sounds and fits well with the identity and expertise of the international mobile maker.
The Land Rover smartphone aims for users who are passionate about hiking and camping outdoors. It may even attract broader users for its less chunkiness compared to Bullitt’s CAT phones. However, it isn’t much behind in terms of thickness!
The exclusiveness, the highlight of the new Bullitt smartphone, is Motorola’s Moto mods’ newly added modular functionality. It is a ‘magnetic’ back panel that carries extra hardware in front of external pins for boosting or adding some new functionality.
Additional special features we learned about include the Adventure Pack that provides a powerful GPS antenna, extra battery life (had to be!), and an AR viewfinder that enables navigation through the wilderness.
Users can enjoy pre-orders starting in April for a ‘suggested’ price tag of €649 or £599. We wait for further information to reveal and serve you as soon as possible. Stay tuned for our timely coverage on Bullit’s new smartphone Land Rover Explore and the updates on MWC 2018.
