“With our goal of sending humans to Mars, Artemis is the first step to begin this next era of exploration.”- NASA

On Aug. 22, while on a spacewalk outside the International Space Station astronaut Nick Hague debuted the Artemis program which is a big step to space travel. Designed by IT group HPE, it will have the task of simulating various parts of the planned return of manned missions to the moon in advance.

NASA Artemis program would be the first step towards the long-term goal of establishing a sustainable presence on the Moon. The mission this time is the to land astronauts on the moon again in 2024 which would also serve to prepare further projects like, it would be an advantage for the extended manned exploration of the solar system. It would also help landings on Mars or on asteroids if one could operate from a permanent base on the moon.

Hence NASA is setting its technology to take astronauts to deep space that will usher in a new era of space exploration.
