EA has finally revealed Need for Speed Unbound in a new trailer and has announced a December release date at the end. The game looks to have anime aspects, which undoubtedly sets it apart from the previous installment. Here’s everything known about Need for Speed Unbound, including gameplay, platforms, pre-order details, and more.

Need For Speed Unbound: Release date, and platforms

According to the recent reveal trailer, Need For Speed Unbound is set to release on 2 December 2022. The platforms include PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, and they will all be launched on the same day. However, there could be some bad news for users of previous generations.

The reveal trailer doesn’t mention consoles from the previous generation, such as the PS4 or Xbox One, implying that fans would require a current-gen system to access the game.

Gameplay and trailer preview

Need for Speed Unbound seems to have a lot to offer, including the potential to challenge A$AP Rocky to a style competition. The new game combines actual cars with street art to create a distinctive appearance that seems quite original for the franchise.

The official announcement of Need for Speed Unbound story reads, “Step into the world of Lakeshore City when a heist at a family auto-shop tears two friends apart and marks the ascent from novice to top racer on a drive to win the ultimate street race and return the precious car that was stolen.”

Need For Speed Unbound will once again put a strong emphasis on illegal street racing. The Grand, the greatest illegal racing competition in the city, is where the player will start the game, which is set in the fictitious city of Lakeshore. The player will start as a rookie driver and attempt to accomplish various races and events to achieve sufficient fame to compete.

Platforms to pre-order Need For Speed Unbound

Need for Speed Unbound is available from EA in two different editions: Palace and Standard. The game’s standard edition, which costs $69.99 or 3,499 INR, includes $150,000 in cash as well as special Unbound items like the Driving Effect, License Plate, Banner Artwork, and Stickers.

The Palace edition, on the other hand, costs $79.99 or 4,299 INR and includes the game in addition to special cars, cosmetics, and outfits. Fans can pre-order Need For Speed Unbound from all the major platforms, including EA, Origin, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Additionally, beginning November 29, EA Play users may play early with a free 10-hour trial and take advantage of exclusive ongoing in-game advantages. That is all that has been made public so far about the game, and fans won’t have to wait too long as it will release in less than two months.
