Today, the South Korean multinational electronics company LG has officially announced the introduction of the first and new 42 and 97-inches OLED TV display sizes.
The electronics giant is expected to unveil six OLED TVs during the CES 2022 series this month. These are televisions with diagonals of 42-inches, 48-inches, 55-inches, 65-inches, 77-inches, and 83-inches. The 42-inches version is seen in the C2 series, and the 83-inches is the series’ greatest size. The new 97-inch TV is part of the G2 series, which is more expensive.
The South Korean electronic giant is producing an OLED TV in the 42-inch size for the first time of the format LG Display, the company that makes those panels announced the format’s arrival at the beginning of last year. The company is just talking about a 42-inch TV for the time being C-series television model. It is unknown whether a smaller variant will be available in the less expensive A and B series.
A new format is also being introduced for the G2 series. This is a 97-inch OLED television. The range of 4K TVs includes a 55-inches, 65-inches, and 77-inches model, just like last year. LG previously had an 88-inch OLED TV in its lineup, but it was a Z series model with 8K resolution. Currently, that 88-inches OLED TV costs around 20,000 euros. The price of the 97-inches model is yet to be determined.
The company uses the so-called Evo panels in the G series, the same as last year. They have a significantly brighter appearance than the panels in the lower series. The corporation claims that the G2 TVs can produce more brightness than their predecessors because of better heat dissipation and a new image processor with Brightness Booster technology.
This year, the Alpha 9 Gen 5 picture processor is found in most OLED TVs from LG. With upscaling, the image quality would be improved, and LG claims virtual 7.1.2 surround sound from the TV speakers.
According to LG, the Game Optimizer menu now has a new feature that optimizes gaming picture settings by allowing users to choose presets. A new Dark Room Mode and G-Sync and FreeSync options have been added. In addition to settings for shooters, RPGs, and strategy games, a new sports mode has been included.
In all, the electronic giant will unveil the new QNED TVs. These LCD televisions have a tiny LED backlight. LG hasn’t revealed any details on the new devices. At the CES 2022 electronics expo on Tuesday, LG will present all of the specifics of its new televisions. The company’s virtual exhibition booth will be available to view starting at 5 PM on January 4th.
