Back in March this year, the Finnish multinational telecommunications company, Nokia officially announced the release of three new Nokia C-series smartphones – the C21, C21 Plus, and C2 2nd edition. Then, the firm noted that the devices are released in response to the success of Nokia smartphones within the affordable smartphone market, and epitomize the durable and long-lasting battery life qualities.
However, as we just discovered in a tweet from the popular reliable leaker, it appears that the brand is planning to launch another smartphone under the entry-level C-series. According to the leaker, a new Nokia C-series was spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database with the name Nokia C31. The benchmark listing for the upcoming Nokia smartphone reveals some of the key specifications.
Now, let’s take a closer look at the Nokia C31 Geekbench scores and the specifications revealed in the benchmark listing.
Nokia C31 Geekbench Listing
The upcoming Nokia C31 passed the Geekbench 5 single-core test with a score of 145. In contrast, the score in the multi-core round was 796 points. An octa-core processor with a 4 + 4 core design and a 1.60GHz peak frequency is also indicated by the test listing. As per the listing, the new smartphone is expected to be powered by a UniSoC processor and PowerVR Rogue GE8322 GPU.
Additionally, the new Nokia C-series appears to be powered by a UniSoC SC9863A chipset based on the Geekbench listing. Meanwhile, the Nokia C21 and Nokia C21 Plus are two earlier C-series devices that use this CPU. Likewise, the benchmark listing suggests that the Nokia C31 will have 4GB of RAM and will boost Android 12 out of the box.
Meanwhile, it should be noted that the new Nokia C31 has only recently been discovered on a certification website, therefore little is known about the device’s specifications. However, in the upcoming weeks, we anticipate seeing the Nokia C31 on various certification websites. Thus, stay connected with TechGenyz as we bring you the latest updates in the tech world.
