A large number of new smartphone models are expected at the annual consumer electronics fair, IFA 2019 (Internationale Funk Ausstellung) scheduled to take place from September 6 to 11, 2019, Berlin, Germany. The Finnish company, HMD Global will also be present at the fair, with at least three new telephone models. The reports of Nokia 9.1 PureView were circulated last week, this will be the new top model. However, this device seems to have been delayed a little, nevertheless, there are still three Nokia phones in the pipeline, the Nokia 7.2, the Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 5.2.
Nokia 7.2 smartphone with a triple camera
The Nokia 7.2 already appeared in the Geekbench database last week, providing more details regarding its hardware. This smartphone will be powered by the Snapdragon 660 chipset with 6GB of RAM. For comparison, the Nokia 7.1 had the Snapdragon 636 SoC with 4GB RAM. The new variant is, therefore, faster and also has more memory.
In addition, the camera system seems to be lifted to a new level. For example, the dual camera from 7.1 must make way for a triple camera. However, the exact details are still unknown. The Nokia 7.2 will be equipped with a 6.2-inch Full HD + display and a small drop-shaped notch for the front camera.
Nokia 6.2 Android smartphone with a notch
The successor to the Nokia 6.1 has been in the pipeline for some time but now it seems to be making its debut at IFA 2019. It is about the Nokia 6.2, the smartphone will be equipped with a 6-inches AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. This Nokia mobile phone will also have a small notch with the 8-megapixel selfie camera behind it.
Presumably, this mobile phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 632 processor and 4GB RAM. In addition, Nokia 6.2 is equipped with 64GB storage memory, which can also be expanded with a microSD memory card. Regarding the energy supply, a 3,300 mAh battery is installed.
Nokia 5.2 cheap phone with advanced functions
Nokia 5.2 should be the cheapest amongst the new Nokia mobile phones. This device will probably have a dual camera. If rumors are to be believed, a 48-megapixel camera sensor has been used. In April the Nokia X71 was released in China, this smartphone also has a 48 MP camera.
The Nokia 5.2 would be equipped with various functions that can also be found on the more expensive Nokia phones. Think of PureDisplay technology, a Zeiss camera, and OZO Audio. Furthermore, this smartphone is equipped with a fingerprint scanner, which is placed at the rear. Nokia 5.2 will also have a USB Type-C connection.
As expected from Nokia, the smartphones will run on the latest Android OS, delivering a stock Android experience. You are also assured of regular security updates for a long period of time.
HMD Global has already announced that it will introduce several mobile phones at IFA 2019. The press conference will take place on September 5, 2019, where the new models are expected. No information is yet known about the price. Nokia usually manages to put its devices on the market for a reasonable price.
