A Twitter post early this morning revealed that the Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is set to unveil the new OPPO Reno 7 and Vivo S12 series in China by November end.
Recent reports show that the Chinese smartphone giant is making a jump to Vivo S12 by skipping the S11 series. Arsenal, a Chinese tipster, has already disclosed the first set of details and launch timeline for the Vivo S12.
According to the tipster, the Vivo S12 series will be released in China next month. The Vivo S12 and S12 Pro are the most likely models to be unveiled by the company. A Samsung AMOLED display is expected on the basic S12. It’s supposed to have a metal frame, and the back could be more flattering.
The Pro model could be equipped with a BOE flexible curved display. The phone is rumored to have a spherical central frame and a 3D curved glass back cover. According to the source, the Vivo S12 Pro would be the company’s major focus. The phone will be available in three colors on launch day, however, the ordinary S12 will only be available in one color.
Vivo hasn’t revealed any information about the S12 series yet, but we’re expecting an official announcement soon, most likely by the end of this month. The future S12 series is expected to compete with the Oppo Reno7, which has yet to be introduced.
According to reports, the Reno7 will primarily be a camera-centric smartphone, with a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor. An 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens and a 2MP B&W portrait lens are rumored to be included with the camera island. The Reno7 is expected to come with a Dimensity 920 SoC, a 90Hz AMOLED display, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
