A new Switch version is planned with some great upgrades by Nintendo Co. for next year to keep the momentum going. The Switch was introduced last year and is still solid but is not delivering favorable surprises as it did in the market in its first year. Kyoto, Japan, is moving very quickly to ensure its flagship product stability in the market after the step to update Switch was initiated.

Nintendo is still on the discussion on what software and hardware to be used in the upgrade feature and the cost.
The most option is the improvement of the display as the current one lacks some updated LCD screen. The Switch is not expected to adopt the organic light which emits diode or OLED panels usually used in Apple Inc’s AAPL 1.22 percent iPhone X Series.

After its release last year Nintendo sold 19.7 million units of Switch which favorably is compared with the most popular console of the current generation Sony Corp’s PlayStation 4. The new Nintendo switch hardware can also be used as both a portable game machine and a living room console.

Nintendo said “it wants to sell 20 million units in the year through March 2019” and also stated that they will release “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” on Dec 7.

Their expected sales roughly to match that goal assuming some popular software titles planned for late this year arrive on schedule. – Analyst

Mostly the video games come out with a new console and they keep updating the device just to keep the momentum going, so the new Nintendo Switch model will follow the same pattern.

Nintendo Shigeru Miyamoto said in Feb

he wanted the Switch’s life cycle to be longer than usual,

, which also suggests that next year’s upcoming upgrade will not be the last one. He is the one who created many of Nintendo’s top games and holds the title of Creative Fellow.

The industry is also watching for Nintendo to clarify the future of its handheld 3DS video game device.

Nintendo stated, “ they will keep selling 3DS machines because they are a safe and affordable option for children.”
An executive at one software maker said he is waiting for a “clear message from Nintendo about what it would do with the 3DS Series when it puts out a new Switch”.
