With the explosion of video streaming services, it seems that even gamers are also getting in on the action through the power of cloud gaming. While media services such as Xbox Live have long allowed subscribers to access a vast library of games, we are now at a point where even gaming hardware can be “loaned” for your entertainment. Enter GeForce NOW Priority membership with the latest update of powered gaming goodness at no extra cost.

A Better Streaming Quality Experience

With the major upgrades, the members will see the bar being raised in cloud gaming as they are offered an enhanced streaming service with up to 1440p resolution with ultrawide display support. For a gamer nowadays, this video quality and resolution upgrade isn’t just a luxury but a necessity. The members also have their in-game graphics preferences saved through different sessions, accommodating NVIDIA RTX features in supported titles.

Perks of being a Premium Member

Premium members will continue to receive their top-tier streaming service with rigs powered with GeForce RTX 4080, offering up to 4k resolution at 120 fps, or 240 fps at 1080p for competitive gaming. They also receive an extended playtime of 8 hours maximum per session length compared to the 6 hours a Priority member gets.

Certain features that elevate streaming quality on GeForce Now like the DLSS frame generation, NVIDIA Reflex, HDR and SDR10, and Cloud G-sync are only available for Premium members.

Loyalty is Appreciated

NVIDIA recognizes and shows appreciation for active paid members as of December 31, 2024, who will enjoy unlimited playtime until January 2026. This is interesting as from the next year, the company aims to introduce a 100-hour monthly playtime allowance for both tiers. Up to 15 hours of unused playtime can be rolled over and more for Priority and Premium membership.

Discounts on the Horizon

For those eager to feel what it is like to experience the new updates, Day Passes are now 25% off for a limited time. The Performance Day Pass and the Ultimate Day Pass can be availed at $2.99 and $5.99 respectively, granting 24 hours of uninterrupted access to NVIDIA GeForce RTX-powered cloud gaming servers. A new feature also allows users to apply the value of their Day Passes toward any monthly membership if they sign up within 48 hours after their Day Passes expire.
