Nike recently launched a children’s shoes subscription. This may sound odd for a sportswear company, or any textile and shoe company for that matter, to start a subscription service. However, other businesses such as newspapers and milk have had this subscription system going on for ages, and it has worked out well for them. Nike is hoping that along with the buyout system, the subscription system would bring in more profits eventually over time.

This is also the reason why many mobile internet products are looking forward to implementing the subscription system. For a retail service to open a subscription system many problems may present itself before it making it difficult to materialize even, but the only the success of the new subscription system opened by Nike in the US will eventually be the yardstick for implementing this new system.

The new subscription service opened by Nike for its children’s shoes is called “Nike Adventure Club.” The subscription comes in three different standards with different service packages.

The three standard subscriptions are four pairs of children’s shoes, six pairs each year, and one pair each month and these subscriptions are priced at 20 US dollars/month, 30 USD/month, and $50/month respectively.

Subscribers would have the option to choose from more than 100 Nike or Converse brand children’s shoes. Nike also revealed that the subscribers would be subjected to some exclusive designs, and for different subscribers, the option of getting personalized items such as the name on the surface of the shoe box, interesting stickers and interesting readings in the shoebox from Nike would also be available.

The subscription would cover children’s shoes from 2 to 10 years old, and the sizes available generally would be between 4C and 7Y. The Nike Adventure Clue would also use a fixed date recycling system twice a year. Nike will recycle the damaged shoes sent to them.
