Today,  the Canadian technology company Nikon has officially announced the unveiling of the NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8, the latest lens to expand the impressive NIKKOR Z portfolio, putting the potential for boundless creativity and maximum versatility into the hands of enthusiasts.

According to Nikon’s official news, the new NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens is expected to go on sale in January 2022, with Z-mount full-frame (Nikon FX-format) mirrorless digital cameras.

  • Features

The NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8 lens offers exceptional sharpness and a brilliant f/2.8 aperture, allowing you to shoot in low light or create shots with natural and attractive bokeh.

The lens is 8.4 oz lighter than the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S, weighing only 1.2 lbs (565g). The lens is well-suited for gimbal use for content development and video productions, in addition to its portability.

Users may capture delicate details because of the minimum focus distance of 0.62ft (0.19m).

The lens swiftly focuses on moving subjects during still photography or video recording by using a stepping motor (STM) with a superior response. During focusing and video recording, the incredibly quiet STM substantially minimizes the level of lens drive and operational noise.

Users can alter ISO sensitivity, aperture, and exposure compensation in stills and video via the control ring. The exact focus control is made possible by the smooth rotation. The use of knurling improves operation.

The lens is sealed to prevent dust and water droplets from entering, making it safe to use in everyday situations. It also has an antifouling coating that makes cleaning a breeze.

  • Development

The NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S is an S-Line lens that provides powerful rendering with excellent resolution while minimizing color bleeding.

Despite being a super-telephoto lens, it is highly portable thanks to the use of a PF (Phase Fresnel) lens that allows for a compact and lightweight body.

This lens will appeal to a wide range of photographers, from advanced beginners to pros, due to its outstanding rendering performance and good mobility.

  • Pricing

According to the manufacturer, the retail price of the new NIKKOR Z 28-75mm f/2.8, is $1,499.95 and RMB 6,999.
