The announcement marks a significant expansion of NIO’s product lineup and underscores the company’s commitment to innovation.
The NIO smartphone, named the NIO Phone, was announced today at the NIO IN 2023 NIO Innovation and Technology Day in China and promises to offer consumers a seamless blend of cutting-edge technology and elegant design.
Boasting a sleek, minimalist aesthetic that mirrors the brand’s EVs, the premium NIO Phone features a high-resolution display, potent processor, and advanced camera capabilities, making it a formidable contender in the fiercely competitive smartphone market.
NIO Phone Design
The design of the smartphone is one of the remarkable qualities of the NIO prime phone. The upper left corner of the fuselage houses the NIO Phone’s three rear cameras, which are placed in two rows. The camera module has an integrated design that protrudes outward and is very recognizable.
The phone comes in a number of colors, including two ceramic and simple leather stitching shades that match the inside and four glass exteriors that match the car’s paint. Additionally, ceramic and blue plain leather with red stitching are available in the EP Edition. No doubt, NIO’s phone appears to be quite attractive.

NIO Phone Pricing and Availability
As an NIO prime phone, the device is announced in China only with top performance configurations that satisfy users, flagship experience, smooth and light. The 12GB+512GB version of the smartphone goes official for 6,499 yuan, while the 12GB+1TB version is priced at 6,899 yuan, and the EXPedition 16GB+1TB version is priced at 7,499 yuan.
According to the brand, the new smartphone will start shipping on September 28 and is currently for sale at the Weilai App Store. NIO’s CEO, Li Bin, stated that the first batch of devices is not particularly sufficient because this is the first time to build a mobile phone, and he hopes everyone can understand.
