Nokia 3.1 was first launched in May in Moscow and now has been launched in India. Being certified with stock Android One, it will receive 3 years of monthly security patches and 2 years of major OS updates, starting from launch.
Nokia 3.1 is a budget smartphone from HMD, sporting a 5.2-inch HD+ display supporting 720 x 1440 pixels with an 18:9 aspect ratio.
For the camera, the phone houses a single rear setup with 13 MP autofocus sensor having f2.0 aperture and an LED flash. The front camera holds an 8 MP fixed focus sensor with the same aperture and 84.6 degrees of field-of-view, supporting selfies and video calling.
Among connectivity features are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Nokia 3.1 has two storage variants: 2/16GB and 3/32GB. For India, the 2/16GB is available and it is priced at Rs. 10,499. The phone is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD.
The handset will be available in the color options: Black/ Chrome, Blue/ Copper, and White/ Iron! Shipping will start from July 21 via the major mobile retailers in the country. Among the online sellers is the online store of Nokia, and the Paytm Mall.
Buying from Paytm Mall will lead you to 10% of cashback offers on subsequent recharges and bill payments via Paytm. Also, there are two Rs. 250 movie cashback vouchers offered by Paytm. Using ICICI Bank credit and debit cards will have 5% cashback on the purchase. Vodafone and Idea will too provide some benefits, and HMD is yet to clarify on the details.
