Nokia at the HMD Global has today launched a new smartphone in India – Nokia 4.2 a mid-range device that was first unveiled at MWC 2019 earlier this year. It touts a premium glass design along with an attractive waterdrop display, a unique notification light power button, and Google Assistant button.
The Nokia 4.2 is the first phone from the company to come with a dedicated Google Assistant button. By placing an AI button on the side of the device, HMD aims to make it easier than ever for consumers to interact with the Assistant. A single press of the button will give you instant access to Assistant. Double pressing the button will bring up a display of relevant information for the day, and a long press of the button will allow you to make longer requests.
It comes with a 5.71-inch TFT LCD with HD+ (1520×720 pixels) resolution and a waterdrop notch at the top center. Under the hood, it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 octa-core SoC paired with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB built-in storage. The internal memory can also be expanded up to 400GB using a microSD card slot.
The phone offers 3GB of RAM. The dual camera system includes a 13MP f/2.2 primary camera and a 2MP secondary camera. It sports an 8MP selfie camera housed within the waterdrop notch.
There is only one variant of the phone that comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. HMD is launching the Nokia 4.2 in Black and Pink Sand colors in India. The Nokia 4.2 will cost Rs 10,990 in India along with other launch offers like Rs 2,500 instant cashback for Vodafone and Idea subscribers and many more.
