While Apple and Samsung are the go-to names when it comes to patent legal proceeding Nokia has just tipped its hat into the ring as well. Nokia has sued iPhone maker for violation over 32 patents accounting for different technologies used in Apple products.

Nokia has announced that it has officially leveraged multiple complaints against Apple in courts in the United States and Germany. The Finnish company Nokia, which is staging a comeback in the smartphone business next year says, iPhone maker filed an antitrust lawsuit against several entities claiming they are attempting to collect excessive fees for Nokia.

Nokia’s own patent infringement complaint against Apple claims that Apple has declined to start licensing deals for Finnish company technology used in Apple products. Apple in its claim says Nokia transferred its patents to patient assertion entities in order to get out of fair, reasonable and Non discriminatory licensing deals.

The lawsuits cover 32 patents that cover technologies including display, user interface, software, antenna, chipsets, and video coding. Nokia is in the process of filing further actions in other jurisdictions.
