April 1 is just around the corner, and Ola introduces its new Ola Restrooms, which are basically cabs you can conduct your washroom activities in on the go. It seems to correspond with Ola’s annual tendency to attempt to make an April fool out of the public with entertaining pranks.
The Youtube video Ola released on March 29 depicted these mobile restrooms as having “industry-leading mobile washroom specs” that “guaranteed hygiene and comfort,” which supposedly can be availed only with a tap on the app.
Ola Restrooms “coming soon to your relief” seems to have elicited Twitter responses that express incredibility over this concept, especially with people thinking this is a massive All Fool’s Day prank that Ola is playing.
Ola has a history of conducting such hilarious pranks around April fool’s day, with the concepts of (fake) Ola Air passenger services in 2015, Ola Rooms in 2016, Ola Wheels in 2017, and Ola News Network in 2018.
This ice-breaking tactic to jest with the public seems to be a popular initiative taken up by many companies, and it makes us laugh for sure.
