Kevin Systrom, the co-founder of Instagram, departs from the company. Regarding this, there are a lot of speculations going on, but he has something different to say while speaking at the Wired 25 conference, he said that “ he holds no-hard-feelings about the ordeal”.
He also stated that he felt a need to move on to some new projects that are the only reason he took this step, he also mentioned that the company is in a really really good place.
Sources also say that the main reason for co-founder Kevin Systrom and fellow co-founder Mike Kriege leaving the company is the result of the conflict between the executive and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Back in 2012, Instagram was bought by the biggest social media platform; this move saw that a lot of power was taken away from the co-founders and was in total control of Facebook executives.
Though the former CEO doesn’t acknowledge the conflicts and stated that,“ no one ever leaves a job because everything is awesome but he is not dwelling on those issues and wants to look forward on working something new and he is excited for the opportunity to set time aside to be more involved with other projects he has invested in”.
