It’s official. Chinese smartphone maker confirmed that its next phone, the OnePlus 2, will come with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM and be priced under $450. Users all around the world can steam the launch of the device on 27 at 7:00 pm PT through VR.
The company in an official announcement said “Why did we choose LPDDR4 for the OnePlus 2? Another notable benefit is lower power consumption for better battery efficiency. That means you’ll be able to use your favorite apps (and more) without draining the battery. With LPDDR4, you get twice the bandwidth performance as the LPDDR3 at the same power consumption profile.”
The new device will allow users to witness better experience when using features such as slow-motion video, face recognition, and low-latency gaming- that generally uses high bandwidth. The increased RAM will consume less power while increasing speed upto 32 GB/s twice as fast as its predecessors.
In a Google+ post, CEO Pete Lau promised that the device will cost less than $450. He further added, “Honestly, it’s never been about the price. We simply make the best smartphones we can, and we go from there.”
Due to running of multiple apps sometimes user see their phone gets slow down but with LPDDR4, they’ll see faster loading times, smoother game play and energy saving features. The device will come up with 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor which will use a lower operating voltage decreasing from 1.2V to 1.1V.
