Yesterday, February 27, the Chinese blog iThome came up with the latest circulating images of the OnePlus 6 that suggest the smartphone bearing an iPhone-ish notch on the top. It also packs a vertical rear dual camera setup and an edge-to-edge display.
The images show that the phone will showcase a glass body design and a bezel-less display. The notch design borrowed from iPhone is probably for the front selfie camera setup and face unlocks sensors. The rear panel features a fingerprint sensor below the dual camera and the OnePlus logo below the sensor.
The report as well provides info on OnePlus 6 specs, stating that it packs 6GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt. Having model number P7819, it is supposed to run Android 8.1 Oreo. These details are so far unconfirmed, and we have to wait for more authentic sources.
It is expected that the OnePlus 6 mobile will consist of Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, as the company said during the CES this year. The phone is to launch by late Q2 of 2018, and a mid-year launch upgrade via the OnePlus 6T is not yet confirmed, as CEO Pete Lau said back in January.
