It’s just less than a week away from the official announcement of the OnePlus 6T and we yet come across leaks from Ishan Agarwal tweeting an official-looking specs sheet of the phone. The OnePlus 6T was originally intended to launch on 30 October, but the launch has since been shifted to 29 October to avoid a clash with Apple’s iPad and MacBook event.
According to the leaked specifications sheet, OnePlus 6T carries a number of key improvements over the OnePlus 6. It also reveals the presence of Android 9.0 Pie instead of Android Oreo that was featured on the website of a German retailer recently. In addition to the OnePlus specs sheet, a number of promotional images of the handset have also been leaked, showcasing its in-display fingerprint sensor, thinner bezels and ‘waterdrop’ notch, and more.

The OnePlus 6T will arrive with a new 6.4-inch AMOLED display complete with a waterdrop notch and relatively small bezels. And thanks to the new marketing images, it’s been confirmed that this translates into an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 86%. Moreover, the Gorilla Glass 5 seen on the original OnePlus 6 has been swapped out for the newer sixth-generation. Beneath this panel, OnePlus has embedded a new optical fingerprint scanner that is similar to the one seen on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Just like the previous device, OnePlus will be focusing on the smartphone’s photography capabilities. The 6T features a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 20-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and flash. At the front, the smartphone has a 20-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.7 aperture. Other features include Face Unlock, HDR, OIS, Panorama mode, and more.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 will once again be present alongside the choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM. This will all be coupled with a large 3,700mAh battery and Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.
As the sales start from Oct. 29 further sales are expected to commence in most parts of the world on November 6.
