OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 smartphones will reportedly launch in the middle of April, and several news about the smartphones have surfaced online. In the latest leak, full specifications of both smartphones have come online.
OnePlus 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will run on the Snapdragon 865 SoC with 8GB and 12GB RAM. Internal storage options include 128GB and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The OnePlus 8 Pro sports a quad-camera setup on its back. The camera setup consists of two 48 MP cameras, one 8 MP camera, and a fourth 5 MP sensor. As for the selfie camera, it is 16 MP. The smartphone features a 4,510mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T and 30W wireless charging support. Furthermore, it will also support 3W reverse wireless charging and IP68 water and dust resistance.
OnePlus 8, on the other hand, features a 6.55-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Like the OnePlus 8 Pro, this smartphone also runs on the Snapdragon 865 SoC and is offered in two variants, one with 8GB of RAM and the other with 12GB of RAM. Unlike the OnePlus 8 Pro, the OnePlus 8 features a triple camera set up on its rear end.
The triple cameras consist of a 48 MP main sensor, a 16 MP secondary sensor, and a 2 MP tertiary sensor. The phone is listed to sport a 16MP selfie camera just like the OnePlus 8 Pro. The phone packs a smaller 4,300mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T support. This variant is listed to not offer any IP rating.
Furthermore, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has confirmed that both the smartphones from OnePlus, the OnePlus 8 Pro and the OnePlus 8 will support 5G.
OnePlus will also launch a OnePlus 8 Lite but this smartphone will be launched sometime in September.
